 Living Life On The Surface 

In an ideal situation, the thoughts that run in my mind, should be exactly those that I would like and I want. We do exert this control, that we possess, over our thoughts, but it is not complete and it is only sometimes. The more we become completely engrossed in our daily routine, the more our thoughts tend to become reactions to what goes on outside us. That’s when they go out of control and our lives move in an unfocused way. As a result things don’t work out as we might have desired. Then we develop a habit of blaming other people and circumstances, or we justify our pain by telling ourselves we are not very worthy or powerful enough. Often, these two inner strategies go together. The trouble is, both are cover ups, preventing us from going for a long-term solution.

In this way, we tend to live our lives on a very superficial level, without taking the time to find the solution to what is going on wrong inside. Deeper difficulties remain hidden inside. I move from one scene of life to another – eating, watching television, studying in college, getting married, changing jobs, buying a new car or house, etc. without ever stopping. All these are part of living, but if I make them my whole and sole, my foundation, it’s as if I skate across the surface of life without being in touch with the core. As time progresses, an inner shallowness develops. Then the feeling keeps growing inside that there must be more to life than this. I then, find that my relationships are not working out as I would have hoped and they are lacking in depth.

Understanding brings happiness.

Expression: Happiness lies in understanding the secret of whatever is happening. When one is able to remain happy in this way, he is able to spread this happiness to those around too, influencing the lives of all.

Experience: When I am able to remain happy under all circumstances, I am able to be free from the influence of others’ negativity. Instead I will be able to become a major source of positive influence to those around me.

Worry Confused With Concern – Part 1

One of the most incorrect beliefs that we have acquired since childhood is that to worry is to care, worrying is caring. Our parents are the people whom we grow up with and are closest to in our childhood. As soon as we are born, in fact even before we are born, even when we are in our mother’s womb, they start transmitting the energy of this belief through their thoughts and later on when we are physically present in front of them, through thoughts, words and actions; to us, which we catch, because we being a spiritual energy, not only transmit or radiate but also absorb energy. As we grow up, this false belief keeps reaching us from everyone on a subtle as level as physical level from whom we meet and are close to including our friends, siblings (brothers and sisters), spouse etc. and slowly we start accepting this belief as being completely true and lead our lives according to it and even transmit the same to others. That is why it is extremely difficult to find a single person today who does not live according to this belief or does not bring it into their daily lives to some extent or the other.

A very common example of the above belief which we all have gone through sometime or the other is when we are late by just a few minutes in coming back home from office. On reaching home, we are asked a thousand questions and by our family members, perhaps our parents or spouse or children about where we have been and why hadn’t we bothered to call and also informed about another thousand negative assumptions they had made in that much time. Why? Because they had been worried for us. We are normally surprised with the fact they are worrying, because 9 out of 10 times we are late because of a not so serious reason, but our family members explain that we were worrying for you because we care for you. But worrying is not caring. Worry is fear or anxiety and care is love or concern, they are two opposite emotions which can never exist together at the same time.

In tomorrow’s message, we shall demonstrate how on a subtle energy level, true love and concern is more beneficial than worry in coming out of negative situations, in which we find ourselves every now and then.

– Message –

Problem solving is to work at the roots of a problem.

Contemplation: When a problem comes up we usually try to work at removing the problem at hand by trying various methods based on the understanding we have. We don’t go deep into the actual cause of the problem and so find it repeating again and again. Unless we understand the root cause of the problem we will not be able to get rid of it fully.

Application: The trick to problem solving is to go to the root, i.e. to find the actual cause. When we find and work at removing the actual cause of the problem we will never find it repeating. For example, if the actual problem might be inability to finish everything in time, the cause behind might not be lack of sufficient time, but my own carelessness.

Worry Confused With Concern – Part 2

We are all linked together at a subtle, invisible level, and communicate with others invisibly. We not only send but also pick up the energy that others radiate, especially the ones that we are close to. We demonstrate with an example how this can work positively as well as negatively when we find ourselves in negative situations in our practical lives.

Suppose the class teacher of your child (we take the example of your son) calls up and says that while playing in the school playground, your son has injured himself. She doesn’t explain much but says there is nothing to worry. She requests you to come and pick him up from the school. At this point of time your son is radiating his own spiritual energy which is most probably the negative energy of fear, stress, anxiety and sorrow (although the teacher has informed you that he is fine). At the same time he is also picking up your subtle spiritual or mental energy. You are driving to his school to pick him up. At this point of time, you only have a rough idea of what situation he is in exactly at that moment because you are physically far away from him. Guessing about the exact situation is making assumptions and is a waste of your mental energy. If you make negative assumptions i.e. you worry and are scared, then you are sending him the same vibrations of fear, a negative energy, which he is going to pick up and it is not going to empower or help him in anyway but is more likely to weaken and disturb him and even disturb you in your driving. You have been told that there is nothing to worry but still you know he is in a slightly difficult emotional situation and only he knows how he will come out of it. What will help him? He needs your support, but what will support him the most – we are talking about subtle support, because you are going to take some time to reach the school and provide him physical support? Your negative vibration of fear which you may mistakenly call concern or care as you imagine something bad has happened? Or the positive vibrations of your unconditional love and your good wishes, which is true concern or care? What will you send him to support him from far away? Worry vibrations or the vibrations of love in the form of your good wishes for them? Vibrations of love will keep you also in a positive state as you drive through the city. Besides, what is care or concern? It is you sending your positive inner spiritual light to help another and worry is definitely not that.

– Message –

Faith in others enables them to be powerful.

Contemplation: Faith in others is usually mistaken for blind faith – observing helplessly, only hoping for the best in our heart. We, then, don’t consciously do anything but just hope for the best. In such a situation we subtly experience fear or tension. But this is not true faith nor is the outcome usually right.

Application: Faith in others means to remain alert to what is going on and then to fill the other person with the strength of our faith to such an extent that they feel able to do whatever needs to be done. Our faith will fill them with confidence and they will be able to give their best to the task.

 2015 में इन 6 तरीकों से दिल और दिमाग को देंं नया जीवन।

हमारे अंदर ढेर सारी गलत आदतें होती हैं, जिन्हें हम छोड़ने की कोशिश तो करते हैं, लेकिन छोड़ नहीं पाते। दरअसल, गलत आदतों के पीछे कुछ कारण होते हैं, जैसे हमारा अकेलापन, नेगेटिव विचार, धोखा मिलना। लाइफ में कोई भी तकलीफ या परेशानी होने पर हम उन्हें दूर करने के चक्कर में गलत आदतों को अपना लेते हैं। आज हम आपको साल के पहले दिन एक नए तरीके से लाइफ की शुरुआत करने के लिए कुछ सलाह दे रहे हैं। इन तरीकों से आप अपनी परेशानी से दूर कर सकते हैं और दर्द से निकल सकते हैं।

1-इमोशनल दर्द को कम करें
शारीरिक दर्द से कहीं ज़्यादा दिल को लगी चोट का दर्द होता है। अगर कोई बात आपके दिल को चुभ रही है, तो जितना जल्दी हो सके, उससे निकलने की कोशिश करें। आपको कहीं से रिजेक्ट कर दिया गया हो, आप एग्जामिनेशन या किसी टेस्ट में फेल हो गए हों, या किसी वज़ह से आपका मूड खराब है, तो इससे हल्के में न लें। जितना जल्दी हो सके, इसके लिए सही रास्ता निकालें। दर्द कैसा भी हो, ज्यादा दिन रहने से घाव ही बनाता है। इसलिए अपने को लेकर हमेशा सतर्क रहें और दर्द से राहत दिलाने में किसी की मदद लें।
ज़्यादा दिन खुद को अकेले रखने से भी दिल और शरीर को दर्द का एहसास होता है। रिसर्च के अनुसार, अकेले रहने से जल्दी मरने की संभावना 14 फीसदी बढ़ जाती है। अकेलेपन को दूर करने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका है कि फैमिली के साथ रहें। अपने करीबी लोगों की एक लिस्ट बनाएं और उनके साथ फोन या सोशल साइट के जरिए जुड़े रहें। बिजी लाइफ में से कुछ समय निकाल कर दोस्तों और फैमिली के साथ समय बिताएं। कभी-कभी दोस्तों के साथ मिलने की भी प्लानिंग करें। इससे आपकी आउटिंग हो जाएगी और आपको बिजी लाइफ में थोड़ा ब्रेक मिल जाएगा।
2-अकेलेपन के निकलने के लिए कोई रास्ता खोजें
दिल में हुआ घाव ज़्यादा दर्द देता है। इसलिए जितना जल्दी हो सके इस दर्द को दूर करने की कोशिश करें। एक बार किसी भी काम में नाकामयाबी मिलने पर हम खुद को बेकार और नाकारा महसूस करने लगते हैं और आगे भी लाइफ में फेल होने का डर लगा रहता है। लाइफ में कभी भी ऐसी नकारात्मक स्थिति होने पर कोशिश करें कि जल्दी से जल्द इस दिक्कत से बाहर हो जाएं। दरअसल, जैसा हम सोचते हैं, हमारा दिमाग वैसे ही काम करने लगता है। इसलिए जिन बातों या चीज़ों से आपको डर रहता है, उन्हें दिमाग से दूर रखें। लाइफ में आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्लानिंग करना शुरू करें, खुद को बिजी रखें।
3-इमोशनल फीलिंग को कम करें
आपका आत्मसम्मान एक तरह से इमोशनल इम्यून सिस्टन की तरह है, जो आपके लचीलेपन को बढ़ाता है और स्ट्रेस और चिंता से बचाता है। आप अपने दिमाग में जिस भी तरह के विचार रखेंगे, उसी तरह से आप इमोशनली स्ट्रॉन्ग होंगे। इसलिए अच्छे विचारों को दिल में जगह दें। नेगेटिव विचारों से दूरी बनाए रखें और कोशिश करें कि दिल और दिमाग पर गलत विचार हावी न हों।
4-आत्मसम्मान को बचा कर रखें
किसी भी तरह के रिजेक्शन के बाद खुद को फिर से पॉजिटिव बनाए रखना थोड़ा मुश्किल है, लेकिन यह ज़रूरी है। एक बार असफलता मिलने के बाद हम खुद को बेकार और किसी काम के लायक नहीं समझते, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है। लाइफ में ऊपर उठने के लिए रिजेक्शन भी ज़रूरी है। इसलिए आपको जहां से भी, जैसे भी रिजेक्शन मिला है, उसे सही और पॉजिटिव तरीके से लें। इससे लाइफ में आगे बढ़ने की प्रेरणा मिलती है। इन सबके अलावा, रिजेक्शन से निकलने के लिए सबसे अच्छा तरीका है कि आप खुद को एक अच्छे दोस्त की तरह ट्रीट करें। दिल की आवाज सुनें, खुद को समझें और खुद का ही सपोर्ट करें।
5-रिजेक्शन के बाद भी हार न मानें
कभी-कभी गलत विचार या बिना किसी बात के दिमाग में नेगेटिव विचार आने से मूड खराब हो जाता है। ज्यादा दिन मूड ऑफ रहने से दिमाग में नेगेटिव विचार अपनी जगह बनाने लगते हैं। इस तरह की दिक्कत से उभरने के लिए दूसरी बातों पर ध्यान देना शुरू करें, जैसे फोन से बात करें या सोशल साइट पर मैसेज-चैट करें, किसी फैमिली मेंबर से बात करें। गलत विचार दिमाग तक न जाएं, इससे पहले उन्हें वहीं खत्म कर दें। खुद को स्ट्रॉन्ग रखने के लिए नेगेटिव विचारों से दूरी बनाए रखना ज़रूरी है।
6-नेगेटिव विचारों से लड़ें
सबसे पहले आपको अपने बारे में पता होना चाहिए कि आप किस तरह की बातों से इमोशनली हर्ट फील करते हैं, साथ ही उससे निकलने का सही तरीका भी पता होना चाहिए। रिजेक्शन, अकेलापन, शर्मिंदा महसूस होने पर या दूसरे इमोशनल घाव से उभरने के लिए कारगर तरीकों को अपनाएं। कुछ लोग स्ट्रेस और टेंशन को दूर करने के लिए शॉपिंग करते हैं, क्योंकि उनको पता है कि इस तरह से स्ट्रेस कम होगा। उसी तरह से आपको अपने बारे में पता होना चाहिए कि आपको किस बात से किस तरह से राहत मिलती है।  लाइफ में अगर आपको दर्द से निकलने के तरीकों के बारे में पता चल जाए, तो आप कभी भी किसी परेशानी से घिर नहीं सकते हैं।

Becoming Responsible For My Destiny – Part 1

These are examples of some of the inner questions that emerge in our minds from time to time:

* Why is she rich and successful and I am not? * Why did he behave in that way with me; I’ve always behaved well with him. * Why does that one have easy success in life and the other, however hard he tries, fails at every step? * Why is he nice natured but is born blind and the other ill natured but has no health problems at all? * Why does she suffer so much? * She is so sweet, but yet everyone disrespects her. * Why did that child die at such a young age? She was so innocent. * Why did I get married to such a person? * Why am I here? * How is that student in my class so intelligent?

There are lot more questions like these that trouble us. In the case of sorrows, it is seen more than the sorrow, it is the question – why this sorrow exists in my life that troubles us. Why? What? How? When? Even so, they all have only one answer: karma.

I don’t need to go into minute details of each situation. If I see that nothing can happen without having had a justified cause in my past or in that of others, life becomes much easier to face, with responsibility and the power of courage.

– Message –

You can always be successful when there is a desire to serve others.

Expression: At the end of each day, check if you have done anything for others. Also check if there is any consciousness of ‘I’ in all the things that you do for others. When there is even the slightest trace of a desire for benefit for yourself you cannot experience either contentment or success.

Experience: Each day take up at least one thing that would bring benefit to others, irrespective of whether it will get you anything or not. When you serve with no selfishness you will find yourself succeeding in all you do.

Becoming Responsible For My Destiny – Part 2

Factors like any particular person, a group of people, the government, nature, even God, etc. cannot be held responsible for what has happened t0 me in my life, up to this moment. It is my and my responsibility alone. Equally, what my future holds depends on me to a very large extent. Rather, whatever I choose to do at this moment is already creating my destiny for tomorrow. I shouldn’t forget that the only real time I have for creating my future is the present, now.

Karma teaches me that at every step, I am the creator of my own little world, the creator of my future circumstances. I also am the creator of the environment immediately around me. On a bigger level I am a co-creator or partner, together with God, of a positive future of the world, of the world of tomorrow, of the world of peace, love and happiness. So my responsibility and my ability to influence the future is not restricted to my life alone.

That I can create the future of my choice – of love, peace and happiness, for myself and others, can appear as unreasonable optimism. It’s just being realistic. What I create is what is going to happen. If I choose to transmit love and peace in my interactions with others today, I create relationships, in the present and for the future, based on those qualities.

– Message –

Set your mind on the seat of stability and you will never become upset.

Expression: In all that you do throughout the day, check if you are able to stabilise your mind wherever and in whatever thought you want at the right moment. If you are not able to you will find yourself getting upset.

Experience: Each morning create a positive thought for yourself. For example, tell yourself “I am the one who is in control of my mind and I can set it the way I want to.” Now practice focusing on this one thought. Stabilise in this thought for sometime.

Given below are some examples of simple positive affirmations (thoughts) that you can make about oneself, others, real life situations and the future, which will help you in becoming a positive thinker.

The self: I do like myself; I accept my weaknesses; I understand myself; I have special skills and qualities; I value myself; I believe in myself; I am lovable.
Others: I accept others as they are; I look for the best in others; there is something good in everyone I meet; I appreciate others.
A real life situation: I am capable of handling the situation; I have all I need; I am fortunate; there is a bright side to everything; nothing lasts forever.

To listen to others fully is to be able to be free from repeating mistakes.

Expression: When there is criticism that comes one’s way, it should be carefully analysed to see if there is any truth in it. If there is correction can be made accordingly. On the other hand, if others’ criticism is ignored or there is a tendency to defend oneself, there cannot be any correction and mistakes are repeated.

Experience: When I listen to others with honesty, I am able to discover even the most negligible aspect in my behaviour which I can change. So I find myself constantly improving and progressing and moving on towards success. So having brought about a change, even the criticism that comes my way stops.

The Method Of Realizing Your Purpose – Part 1

Throughout our daily routine right from the time we wake up till we go to sleep at night, we all always have something to think about, to say and/or something to do. We are occupied and are busy. The question is whether everything that we do forms part of our life purpose or whether we are simply occupying time spaces and using our mental, verbal and physical energy in activities, tasks and conversations that do not lead us to anything substantial or whole. We simply pass time doing and talking, but without a sense of purpose.Although the things we do and/or speak about are necessary to be done, if they do not make up part of our life purpose, they will tire us. We will feel an inner emptiness and dissatisfaction, as if we are missing something.

The most authentic purpose is that of fulfilling our ideal, our dream in life. What happens is that, sometimes, we haven’t worked out what our true purpose or life dream is. We have to ask ourselves what our true purpose is. There are two purposes – one is a purpose related to the self and the other related to what we want to offer to the world. During the day we are exchanging energy – each one of us is different and can give something to the world during this exchange; each of us can play our musical note in order to contribute to the orchestra of the Universe.

All problems can be overcome when you make a determined promise to yourself.

Checking: When a problem comes up and you are working on it, check what kind of thoughts you are having. Check if your thought to overcome the problem is filled with determination?

Practice: Each day reinforce the thought in your mind to overcome the problem that you are facing. Stamp the thought with determination and you will become victorious in overcoming your problem.

The Method Of Realizing Your Purpose – Part 2

A question that can help you to find the purpose for your self is: when you feel absolutely on top of the world, very much content and full of enthusiasm, what is there in you? Who are you at that moment? What is the energy inside you at that time? What do you give to your surroundings and to others? This stage is something that you want to reach all the time and keep with you. Ask yourself that question. Visualize that moment, which at some time in life you must have experienced. If not, visualize what you would like to experience.

Second question to find your purpose related to the world: What is it that you want to radiate to others? What is it that you want to give? That is, what do you want to devote yourself to? This isn’t limited to your job or a hobby or a sport for e.g., but rather applies to what you offer and radiate in the whole day, in relationships, with people through your thoughts, words and actions – in the family, at work, in the market, friends, acquaintances and even strangers.

To carry out this inner inquiry (in both the cases above) you need to go to its deepest part. What is your purpose? Not your purpose for this weekend you want to go for the club meeting or not, or that in the holidays you want to visit a hill station; all these are short term purposes. Your life purpose refers to what it is that you really want to reach. If you clarify it, it will help you to make decisions with clarity and determination in your life.

You will continue to remain happy when your each action is such that it doesn’t cause sorrow to anyone.

Expression: In all that you do throughout the day check if any of your actions is such that there is suffering for anyone. Also check if you are yourself happy with what you are doing. Where the action is right, you will not experience unhappiness.

Experience: Take a thought in the morning that you will do what is the best throughout the day. Also before you take any decision about any action ask yourself if it is going to harm anyone. Your decision to perform the action or not should be based on this.

Making Your Dream A Reality (Visualization)

I relax my body… I let go of all tensions… I reduce the speed of my thoughts… I relax my mind, my thinking… I let go of what doesn’t let me be well…

What is it that I the soul truly long for? What do I want in my life?

I listen to the answer that arises from the inside of the self… I let the answer come out spontaneously… I don’t worry about it…

I visualize what I want and where I want to reach… Now I fly; I fly towards the destiny that I dream of… I visualize myself being what I want to be, doing what I want to do… Without fears, without strings that hold me… I am who I want to be… I see myself like that, having achieved it… I enjoy some moments of this experience… I experience my dream…

I can achieve my dream… I have to visualize it as if I had already achieved it… This strengthens my capacity to achieve it…

Now I return to the present moment… I prepare myself to enter into action with this conviction… I will make my dream a reality…

– Message –

The one who is a giver, has attention constantly on giving fully.Expression: When the system that I am working in doesn’t let me give maximum benefit to the people around me or deprives them of their natural right, I tend to react negatively. I tend to become upset which doesn’t help either of us in anyway.Experience: When I remember and maintain the awareness that I am a giver, instead of complaining about the restrictions that society or people around me impose I continue to give those around me something that will make them happy. This could be in the form of kind and supportive words or at least an understanding smile. When I give in this way, it will make others too free from negative thoughts.In Spiritual Service,
